The Braves club announced on the 31st 스포츠토토 (Korea Standard Time) that it has agreed to a trade to receive infielder Nikki Lopez (28) in return for giving up left-hander Taylor Hearn (29) to the Kansas City Royals.

Lopez, a left-handed hitter, played 518 games in five seasons in the Major League Baseball, batting .248 with a .311 slugging percentage. Second base and shortstop are the main positions, but they have also played third base, first baseman, and left fielder.

In 67 games this season, he had a batting average of 0.210 on-base percentage of 0.322 slugging percentage, and 13 RBIs and four steals without a home run. He recorded 21 stolen bases while striking out 30 times.

In 151 games in 2021, he recorded a high batting average of 0.300 on-base percentage of 0.365 slugging percentage of 0.378, but has not shown that much since then.

As a fifth round pick in the 2016 draft, he has a service time of 3 years and 139 days as of January 2023. Atlanta can exercise its holdings until 2025.

Hearn was acquired by the Texas Rangers on July 25 in a cash trade.

He made his Atlanta debut in the eighth inning of a home game against the Milwaukee Brewers on the 30th, but struggled with two hits, one home run, and four runs in 1/3 innings. After that, he moved the team again in one game.

Nominated by the Washington Nationals in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, he made his big league debut with Texas in 2019. He is 12-15 with a 5.26 ERA in 93 appearances in five seasons.
