Sad things continue due to the earthquake in Turkey.

British media BBC reported on the 8th, “Turkey goalkeeper Ahmet Turkaslan died in an earthquake in his home country on Monday. His club Yeni Malatyaspor confirmed this.”

More than 5,000 people have been killed in the earthquakes that started Monday in Turkey and Syria.

Malatyaspor added on the club’s social media: “Our goalkeeper, Turkaslan, lost his life in the collapse of the earthquake. We will not forget you, a beautiful person.”

The 28-year-old Turkaslan has played six times since joining Turkey’s second division side Malatyaspor in 2021.

Yannick Bolasi (33), a former Crystal Palace and former Everton FC winger and currently playing for Turkish second division team Kaykur Rizespor, also mourned the death.

“My condolences to all the families and teammates from Malatyaspor (with Turkaslan). We hope we can all continue to help everyone in need,” Bolasi added on social media.
