More than 5,000 people have been killed in the earthquakes that started Monday in Turkey and Syria.

Malatyaspor added on the club’s social media: “Our goalkeeper, Turkaslan, lost his life in the collapse of the earthquake. We will not forget you, a beautiful person.”

The 28-year-old Turkaslan has played six times since joining Turkey’s second division side Malatyaspor in 2021.
