Pohang held off Suwon FC to put pressure on first-place Ulsan Hyundai. It extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches.

Pohang hosted Suwon FC in the 30th round of the Hana WonQ K League 1 at the Pohang Steel Yard at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, winning 2-0.

With the result, Pohang improved to 15 wins, 11 draws and four losses with 56 points, closing the gap to five points on leaders Ulsan Hyundai (61 points), who have played one game less.

Ulsan will next face Daejeon Hana Citizens at 7 p.m. tonight.

Pohang started Zeca, Kim Seung-dae, Yoon Min-ho, Hong Yun-sang, Oberdan, Kim Jun-ho, Shin Kwang-hoon, Ha Chang-rae, Grant, Wandelsson, and Hwang In-jae (goalkeeper).

Suwon FC, who pushed for a late equalizer, was unable to capitalize and watched Pohang win the match.
